Copy-paste ChatGPT prompts

1. Explain anything in plain English

When something is too technical or confusing.

Explain [topic] to me like I'm a smart 14-year-old. Use a simple real-life analogy, keep it under 150 words, and finish with one example I can relate to.

2. Turn a rough idea into a clear plan

For when you know the goal but not the steps.

I want to [your goal, e.g. start a small Etsy shop]. Act as a practical planner. Give me a step-by-step plan for the first 30 days, with the 3 most important tasks each week and roughly how long each takes. Keep it realistic for a beginner.

3. Rewrite an email so it sounds professional

Great for tricky or important messages.

Rewrite this email so it is polite, clear and professional, but still warm and human. Keep it short. Here is my draft:

[paste your email]

4. Summarise notes into action points

Turn a wall of text into next steps.

Here are my messy meeting notes. Give me a 3-line summary, then a bullet list of clear action points with who is responsible (if mentioned). Notes:

[paste notes]

5. Brainstorm with smart constraints

Better ideas than a blank 'give me ideas'.

Give me 10 ideas for [topic, e.g. blog posts about home baking]. Make them specific, not generic. For each, add a one-line reason it would appeal to beginners. Avoid anything obvious or overused.

6. Get a balanced decision helper

When you are stuck between options.

Help me decide between [option A] and [option B] for [your situation]. Give me an honest pros and cons table, then tell me which you would lean towards and why, and what extra information would change your answer.

7. Make it shorter or simpler

Tighten up anything you have written.

Make this clearer and about half as long, without losing the key points. Keep my meaning and tone. Text:
